Columns Monday Morning Man Cave: MNF, MLB, WWE & More by Jason Cordner October 19, 2015 Welcome to another installment of the Monday Morning Man Cave. NFL is about to hit week 7. MLB is midway through it’s league championship series. Halloween is a round the corner and so is start of the NBA season. We have a great week of sports and pop culture events to cover,so here are some of this week’s highlights. https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_g408h9MXZw/U1b0v4s_CXI/AAAAAAAAfRo/miKS8fxiB_4/s1600/monday-night-football.jpg Monday Night Football – New York Giants vs Philadelphia Eagles : This game is for first place in the NFC East. Big Blue is 3-2 and has a surprising lead in the NFC East. With a couple of superstars injured in Dallas, Chip Kelly’s mad science experiment got off to a rough start in Philly, and Washington, well, just being Washington, the Giants have a chance to take firm control of the division in the coming weeks. If they can get past the Eagles on Monday night, their next three games are against the Romo-less Cowboys the 1-4 Saints and the 2-3 Tampa Bay. The Giants don’t play a team that currently has a winning record until the Pats come to town in Week 10. Not to mention, the new Star Wars trailer drops during the game. Another great reason to watch. httpss://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/02/62/78/026278cc604ae2239d002aa7dc65af91.jpg Monday Night – ALCS Game 3- Kansas City Royals vs Toronto Blue Jays: Facing an unfavorable 2-0 deficit against the Kansas City Royals in the American League Championship Series, the Toronto Blue Jays return home Monday.Toronto was just in a similar situation in the ALDS. Toronto will be home for the next three games, so maybe their bats can wake up.The Royals present a tall task.Their 29-year playoff drought, quenched in 2014, is so last year. They’ve since rattled off an 11-6 postseason record and embodied resilience in a back-and-forth, five-game ALDS victory over the Houston Astros. This series is far from over and will be a wild finish. https://legendsondeck.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/2015NLCSlogo.png Tuesday Night – NLCS Game 3- New York Mets vs Chicago Cubs : While the Mets are riding high after their strong showing in Queens, they will have their work cut out for them as the series shifts to Wrigley Field.Already up two games, the Mets have the luxury of sending their ace to the hill in Game 3. Jacob deGrom will take the mound for the Mets against Kyle Hendricks of the Cubs.If Kyle Schwarber, Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo can get things on track, it can help them stay in a groove as the series wears on. For the Cubs to have any chance, those three players will need to carry the lineup. Steven Matz is scheduled to start Game 4 for the Mets after a tough outing against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS. The 24-year-old Matz is a rookie and could falter on the road in front of a hostile crowd. Expect no less than a six game series. https://gridirongrit.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Seattle-Seahawks-at-San-Francisco-49ers-Team-Logos-NFL-Network-Thursday-Night-Football.jpg Thursday Night Football – Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers : One of the NFL’s nastiest rivials resumes on Thursday night . Both teams are in desperate need of a win. Both teams are 2-4. Seattle’s Legion of Boom has blown 4 fourth quarter leads and are on a two game losing streak. San Francisco 49ers, are on a two game winning streak and Colin Kepernick is playing with a lot of confidence. Expect alot of hard hitting football action. httpss://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMhI8nacAUU Friday– Movies – The Last Witch Hunter : The modern world holds many secrets, but the most astounding secret of all is that witches still live amongst us; vicious supernatural creatures intent on unleashing the Black Death upon the world. Armies of witch hunters battled the unnatural enemy across the globe for centuries, including Kaulder (Diesel), a valiant warrior who managed to slay the all-powerful Queen Witch, decimating her followers in the process. In the moments right before her death, the Queen curses Kaulder with her own immortality, forever separating him from his beloved wife and daughter in the afterlife. Today Kaulder is the only one of his kind remaining, and has spent centuries hunting down rogue witches, all the while yearning for his long-lost loved ones. However, unbeknownst to Kaulder, the Queen Witch is resurrected and seeks revenge on her killer causing an epic battle that will determine the survival of the human race. If your looking for a great movie to go see in Imax , The Last Witch Hunter is the one to check out. https://sas.suplitodomedia.com/articles_images/GamblersPalace/RUTGERS-SCARLET-KNIGHTS-Vs.-OHST-BUCKEYES.jpg Saturday Night College Football #1 Ohio State vs Rutgers : The Buckeyes (7-0) will look roll surging Rutgers Scarlet Knights (3-3), who rallied from 25 points down with 18 minutes to go to beat Indiana 55-52 last Saturday. Will the Buckeyes continue to roll toward a second appearance in the College Football Playoff, or can the Scarlet Knights pull the upset? Probably not but hey stranger things can happen. Despite an incredible array of offensive firepower, the Buckeyes were horrendous in the red zone through the first five weeks of the season, converting just six touchdowns in 16 trips inside their opponent’s 20-yard line. https://cdn3.whatculture.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/ZEGIM3j9.jpg https://youtu.be/xEmF4Lok6u0 Sunday Night WWE Hell In A Cell : The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is the Hell in a Cell event set to take place on Sun., Oct. 25, 2015, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
