High School Sports Morristown-Beard’s Kendall Cornine Named 2015 High School Female Athlete of the Year by Gregg Snyder January 26, 2016 (Joe Warner / NJ Advance Media) With just eight players on the roster, there was no time for anyone to take time off. Most of the time, Kendall Cornine played the entire game for Morristown-Beard’s Girls Ice Hockey Team. Never once did she complain. Cornine was a four-time All-State selection and 2015 State Player of the Year. The forward finished her career as Morristown-Beard’s all-time leading scorer. She finishes her career with 104 goals, 94 assists for 198 points in 74-career games. Cornine finished the 2014-15 season with 34 goals and 32 assists for 66 points in 17 games. Morristown-Beard went 16-1 overall. She is now a freshman at Rochester Institute of Technology, majoring in nutrition management and a player on the women’s ice hockey team. She currently has four goals and five assists in 29 games at RIT. Cornine is the recipient of the 2015 Double G Sports Award for High School Female Athlete of the Year.
