Basketball NBA Christmas Day Scheduled Leaked, Knicks To Host Bucks by Jason Cordner August 8, 2018 The NBA is starting to feel like a year-long league. On Tuesday, the NBA’s Christmas Day lineup was leaked online. Among the slate’s highlights, according to The New York Times: LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers facing the NBA champion Golden State Warriors in Oakland. James took on the Warriors four consecutive years in the NBA Finals as a member of the Cavaliers, winning once. He is expected to turn the Lakers into a team that can compete with Golden State for the Western Conference championship. https://twitter.com/espn/status/1027045821022433280 To kick off the day will be the Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks who will battle it out in The Garden before two of the East’s best teams will face off in Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers. In addition to that, The Houston Rockets will host the Oklahoma City Thunder for the third game of the day, while the Jazz and Blazers will close out the night out West in what should be two playoff teams going at it. As for the Knicks, they are likely looking at another losing season. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, one of the more respected oddsmakers on the strip, released their projected season win totals for each team earlier this week. The Knicks number was set at 29.5. New York has averaged 27.3 wins over their last four seasons. Expect 2018-19 season to be a youth development season for the New York Knicks. First-round selection Kevin Knox and second-round steal Mitchell Robinson both excelled and significantly exceed expectations during Las Vegas Summer League play in July. New York signed two former lottery picks, Mario Hezonja and Noah Vonleh to one-year contracts this offseason.
