The injury occurred during the team’s practice on Saturday, December 5. He plans to undergo surgery this week, and there will not be a timetable for his return until after the procedure. The Nets inserted Hollis-Jefferson into the starting lineup five games into the season, and the team flourished with him on the court, only allowing 98.9 points per 100 possessions. When he is on the bench, they allow 107.1 points per 100 possessions. They are only 5-15, but Hollis-Jefferson was an integral part of every victory. In 19 games (14 starts) for the Nets, Hollis-Jefferson has averaged 5.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game. According to head coach Lionel Hollins, swingman Bojan Bogdanovic will start for Hollis-Jefferson moving forward.
