MMA New fighters announced for the PFL, Chris Wade and Andre Harrison set to return by Daniel Yanofsky March 22, 2019 Two cornerstone fighters from New York will be making their return to the PFL, while there are plenty of newcomers set to make an impact. Long Island’s Andre Harrison and Chris Wade will be a part of the second season of the Professional Fighters League. Harrison (20-1), one of the early favorites in 2018, went 4-0 in the PFL’s featherweight tournament format before losing to eventual winner Lance Palmer. That was after beating Alexandre Bezerra in a majority decision victory that same night. Considered an upset, Harrison returns stronger than ever. A Titan FC and Ring of Combat champion, Harrison looks to show why he was favorited to win the whole damn thing. One of the most exciting competitors returning is Rockville Centre’s Chris Wade. In case you forgot, Wade (14-5) pulled off an impressive flying kick against Yuki Kawana at PFL 5 inside the Nassau Coliseum. He ended up 2-2 in the tournament, losing to Natan Schulte in a rematch (Wade won the first bout) that was highly controversial. Wade was very adamant that the decision was a mistake. Now, he can use his hands instead of his words to prove his run wasn’t a fluke. Other fighters scheduled for the PFL’s second season include: – Ray Cooper III (17-6): One of the youngest competitors of the tournament who was a heavy favorite heading into the finals agianst Magomed Magomedkerimov. He ended up losing to Magomed and missed out on a chance at $1 million. – Zane Kamaka (13-3): Cooper’s cousin and training partner – Jordan Johnson (10-0) – former UFC light heavyweight contender. He ended his run with the UFC after a four-fight deal. – Smeakinho Rama (11-5-1) – Alex Nicholson (13-7) – Sadibou Sy (7-4-1) – David Michaud (15-4) Post Views: 1,143 The following two tabs change content below.BioLatest Posts Daniel Yanofsky Baseball Editor, Misc.
