New President-elect Donald Trump Had Plans to Attend UFC 205

Disclaimer: I just need to put out there that I’ve been predicting this since Tuesday morning.

New President-elect Donald Trump had told UFC President Dana White during his campaign that if he were to win the presidential election, he would attend the historical UFC fight at Madison Square Garden the Saturday after, according to TMZ.

White told TMZ on Thursday in New York that “Donald originally told me that he would come to the fight if he won. I don’t think Donald really realized what his duties were going to be had he won. I think he’s meeting with Obama today, I don’t know, we’ll see. No pressure to come but it wouldn’t suck if he came.”

Trump defeated former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton in the Presidential election on Tuesday.

White was a vocal supporter of Trump during his campaign, even speaking at the Republican National Convention in July.

Imagine Donald Trump putting the belt on the winner of UFC 205’s main event? One can only keep their fingers crossed that if Conor McGregor wins the 155-pound belt he doesn’t turn to Trump and ask “who the fook is this guy?”
