Feature NJ’s Blonde Fighter is heading to Buffalo for UFC 210 by Kristine Haugsjaa January 27, 2017 The #BlondeFightertoBrooklyn movement had a little shift upstate to #BlondeFightertoBuffalo. New Jersey’s own ‘Blonde Fighter’ Katlyn Chookagian is set to face Irene Aldana at the Key Bank Center in Buffalo at UFC 210 on April 8th. UFC Espanol made the announcement Friday afternoon. httpss://twitter.com/Farah_Hannoun/status/825062966617845760 Chookagain (8-1 MMA) is coming off her first career loss at UFC 205 in November against #8 ranked bantamweight Liz Carmouche via split decision after a three round war. Aldana (7-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) is coming off a war off her own against #15 ranked bantamweight Leslie Smith at UFC on FOX 22 in December where she came up short on an unanimous decision. While I had been campaigning for Chookagain to face #11 ranked bantamweight Ashlee Evans-Smith next, this match up has all the makings for ‘Fight of the Night’ honors. With rumored bouts still waiting for their confirmation, UFC 210 is starting to remind me of UFC 205 and in a GREAT WAY. The local talent getting added for the April pay-per-view is high level and guaranteed to be a great card both live and on your TV screen. The exact recipe for a memorable night.
