Feature NWHL Announces Twitter Game of the Week Schedule by Chip Gianni September 21, 2017 The National Women’s Hockey League announced on Thursday the schedule for the “NWHL Twitter Game of the Week” for the 2017-2018 season. The live streams will feature 16 regular season games, plus two preseason showdowns and the 2018 NWHL All-Star Game, during the upcoming season. All 19 games which will be produced by the league, will be available on the Twitter Live feature of the social media platform. Fans can enjoy the stream at no charge across Twitter and other connected devices. The stream will be available at NWHL.Twitter.com and via the league’s Twitter handle, @nwhl. The live streams will feature between period interviews with players and coaches. Join the Conversation: #NWHL Fans wanting to join in on the conversation, while enjoying the games can Tweet their responses using the hashtag, #NWHL. The “NWHL Twitter Game of the Week” is part of the league’s global broadcast deal they reached with the social media network earlier this year. The Connecticut Whale will open the Twitter schedule with their preseason matchup against Team Russia in the NWHL/Team Russia Summit Series on Sunday, October 15th at 1:30 PM. The New York Riveters preseason battle against the Russian Women’s National Team on Sunday, October 22nd will be the next live streamed game. The opening game between the Riveters and the Boston Pride on Saturday, October 28th at 2:00 PM as well as the Riveters and Buffalo Beauts in Rochester, New York and Beauts and Whale in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area will also be featured.
