Soccer NYCFC need a win to unlock the season by Stefano Bentivogli April 10, 2019 It is a very delicate time for New York City FC. The victory does not come, for now only draws and a defeat against Toronto for the Blues who have 4 points in the standings. Situation completely different from last year, when New York City FC was an undefeated team and had already collected 13 points. New York needs a jolt. Torrent’s team absolutely needs to get the first win. The feeling is in fact that, gaining the first three points, then the team can somehow unlock itself. Against the Montreal Impact the Blues have tried to keep control of the game and make themselves dangerous in attack. But the lack of lucidity, and a state of psychological form that is affected by the victories that do not come, have profoundly influenced the team’s performance. Despite the numerical superiority in the field, New York City FC could not find the goal. Indeed, the team almost didn’t take one, a goal that would have been a real joke. Is clear that New York must be more daring, keeping the right balance between seeking the first victory without at the same time live this moment like an obsession. Against Minnesota United the Blues will try to do just that, win to finally unlock.
