Soccer NYCFC, positive debut for Domenèc Torrent by Stefano Bentivogli June 25, 2018 It was an exciting and incredible match between New York City FC and Toronto FC. On his debut on the City bench, Domenèc Torrent immediately got the victory despite the disadvantage in the first half and the injury of David Villa. Mentally the team could have suffered, and instead they had a great reaction in the second half. Jo Inge Berget, much discussed in previous games for subdued performances, dragged the team towards the comeback and victory. An amazing match that Torrent can hardly forget: “The team has never give up – said the new coach of the City after the match – we played an incredible game, it was not easy for me to transmit my game ideas to the team after just a train session in the last week. At the end of the first half, I simply told them that they were better than the opponent, that we didn’t have to give up and that we were ready to win. The team gave a great response, overturning the result and winning.” A victory of character also came thanks to the support of the fans: “The environment at Yankee Stadium is incredible,” said Torrent, “our fans have always supported us and were the twelfth man on the pitch. The fans drag the team and I promise them that we will never give up in every game we play.” Post Views: 989 The following two tabs change content below.BioLatest Posts Stefano Bentivogli Latest posts by Stefano Bentivogli (see all) The New York Knicks and the temptation of Chris Paul - March 21, 2020 NYCFC, Deila: “Our supporters can make the difference” - March 10, 2020 New York City FC, Ronny Deila wants to start the new season of MLS well - February 29, 2020 New York City FC preparing differently under new head coach Ronny Deila - February 5, 2020 Related TopicsBluesCityDavid VillaDomènec TorrentJo Inge BergetNYCFCToronto FCYankee Stadium 1 Comment You must be logged in to post a comment Login Leave a Reply Cancel replyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
