MMA Official UPDATED fight card for PFL 5 inside NYCB Live’s Nassau Coliseum After a few revisions to the card, the show will go on for PFL 5 by Daniel Yanofsky August 2, 2018 Another night of fighting has arrived! The Professional Fighters League returns to NYCB Live’s Nassau Coliseum for PFL 5. Tonight (August 2) will feature some of the final bouts of the regular season before the playoffs begin. Of course, it wasn’t easy getting to this moment. A few things had to change before the premier event took place. Earlier this week, it was announced that Jason High would be replacing Brian Foster in the main event against Natan Schulte. While the reason is still unknown, Foster is expected to get another fight down the line. One fight had to be erased altogether. Efrain Escudero weighed in more than eight pounds than his opponent, Islam Mamedov. Naturally the fight was cancelled. Islam, trained by UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, will get his show money and three points. He now has six total points in the PFL tournament. With plenty of fights to entertain fans, PFL 5 is still looking to be a smashing success. Tune in tonight for the following fights: PFL 5 Main Card on NBCSN – 9:00 p.m. ET Main Event: Jason High (155.8) v. Natan Schulte (155.4) – Lightweight Vinny Magalhaes (204.6) v.
