College Pride Talk; Wright-Foreman earns another CAA Player of the Week award while Hofstra splits by Chris Passarelli November 26, 2018 Get used to hearing this one folks; Justin Wright-Foreman has won another CAA Player of the Week award. The senior star of the Pride earned the award after two more great games. He is the stalwart of a competitive Pride team and is the engine that keeps the Hofstra basketball program going. This is Wright-Foreman’s second straight CAA Player of the Week award. He averaged 32 PPG, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists during the week, as the Pride defeated Cal State Fullerton but lost to a very tough VCU team in overtime. JWF scored 37 points in a winning effort against a very talented and seasoned Cal State Fullerton team, 80-71. He added six assists, five rebounds, and missed out on the Mack Sports Complex scoring record (Hofstra’s home court) by just three points. He continued his success against an even tougher VCU team, this time in a losing effort. Unfortunately, Hofstra couldn’t do enough outside of Wright-Foreman to hold off the Rams, as they lost in overtime 69-67. Wright-Foreman scored 27 points, added five rebounds and dished four assists as well. It was another successful week for the young man, and quite honestly the sky is the limit for Justin Wright-Foreman. If all things play out, the world may be able to see this talented player on the big stage of the NCAA Tournament. Only time will tell, but Hofstra goes as JWF goes.
