Purdue Fans get creative in Louisville trolling

It’s likely just the beginning of the high amounts of trolling Louisville’s men’s basketball team will face this season.

After head coach Rick Pitino was fired due to NCAA violations of paying off players, a nationwide FBI investigation was launched into the ugly side of college recruiting. Add this to the program’s current prostitution scandal, and opposing fans will have a lot to work with. As for Purdue, their student section certainly got creative.

In the featured image of this story, you can see Purdue faithful rocking black FBI t-shirts. This dig would seem obvious, yet the posters went in a little deeper.

One Purdue fan holds up a sign stating “Where’s my $ Coach?” While another one stated “We play ball, they Playboy.” Both are creative, and very real.

Pitino was fired immediately after allegations surfaced that recruit Brian Bowen was in fact paid by the school. Bowen will most likely never play for Louisville as he’s been ruled ineligible by the university.

The question at this point is how bad will the taunting get? The college season is still young, and we haven’t gone into conference play yet. With the ACC being rock solid again this year, road games could become increasingly distracting for the Louisville players. Between games at Kentucky, Notre Dame, Miami and Duke this season, look for fans to turn it up a notch with FBI and prostitution related paraphernalia.
