Soccer Red Bulls Grab Front Office Hire Away From NYC FC by Staff Post September 9, 2015 Amy Scheer (IMAGE, NEWYORKREDBULLS.COM) The New York Red Bulls have already won three matches on the pitch against their rivals NYCFC this season and now they have won off of it as well. On Tuesday September 8, the Red Bulls announced they have hired Amy Scheer as their new Chief Commercial Officer. Scheer’s former position was the Vice President of Marketing, Media and Fan Relationship Management for New York City FC and now she is making the jump to the red side of the rivalry. Scheer was part of a very successful team at NYCFC that promoted the club heavily and led to high numbers of ticket sales. She was also successful during her time as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the New York Liberty where she increased ticket sales by 130% according to the press release from the Red Bulls. This type of upper management move to improve marketing is just what the Red Bulls need to compete with NYCFC in the promotional world where NYCFC has really done a good job of since their induction.
