SoccerRed Bulls organization wins club and executive awards for 2015 season by Staff Post January 15, 2016 The Red Bulls grabbed the best coach and best goalkeeper awards during the regular season. Now they have four more honors to add their tally, as the Red Bulls tied with MLS newcomers Orlando City S.C. for the most club and executive awards won in 2015.For the Red Bulls, Marc De Grandpre won the Doug Hamilton Executive of the Year, they won the Ticketing Sales Innovation Award presented by the National Sales Center, the Social Media Activation of the Year (for their use of the hashtag #NYisRED), and the Security Staff of the Year.Although the Red Bulls didn’t win the ultimate prize —the MLS Cup — the fact that they were recognized on and off the field for so many accomplishments is still a big deal. That the Red Bulls had the best team in the regular season in MLS is no surprise when you find out they had the coach and executive of the year. And success on the field leads to increased social media coverage and more tickets sold. They did just about everything right last year.Awards are great, but the underlying reasons for the prizes means that the Red Bulls are in great shape for the future as long as they continue to develop their youth system, make the right moves, and keep key people in place.
