Soccer Red Bulls Trade For Aurelien Collin by Staff Post April 29, 2016 The New York Red Bulls acquired center back Aurelien Collin today from Orlando City in exchange for a conditional fourth round pick in the 2017 MLS Draft. Red Bulls Sporting Director Ali Curtis had this to say about the transaction: “We are excited to add Aurelien to our club. He is an excellent competitor and a veteran player that can strengthen our defense. We feel that his experience can also play an important role in helping us achieve our goals this season.” Collin is no stranger to winning ways having collected the two big MLS trophies with Sporting Kansas City. In 2012 he won the U.S. Open Cup and in 2013 he won the MLS Cup and was named MLS Cup MVP scoring the game tying goal and the winning penalty. He’s a winner and he has ice in his veins, just the kind of veteran leadership the Red Bulls need. They will need his presence to lift their spirits quickly as they hope to climb back up the table and into a playoff position.
