Feature Red Bulls Win the Shield, Ready For MLS Playoffs by Staff Post October 27, 2015 (NewYorkRedBulls.com) The Supporters Shield is coming back to New York! In the latest version of New York beating teams from Chicago to win titles, the Red Bulls snatched their second Supporters Shield in franchise history and set a club record for most wins in a season with 18 (one win better than they had the last time they lifted the Shield). The win on Sunday over the Fire was even more exciting as the Red Bulls won for only the fourth time ever in Chicago as they finished off a record-setting 2015 season. The history continued for the Red Bulls on the field as well. A week after goalie Luis Robles set the record for most wins as a Red Bull, Sacha Kljestan tied the record for most assists in an MLS regular season with 14. He joins Thierry Henry and Eduardo Hurtado. With this victory the Red Bulls earn home field advantage in every round of the playoffs in which they participate. Should they advance to MLS Cup they would host it at Red Bull Arena — an incredible honor and opportunity to finally win an MLS Cup. The Red Bulls find out who they are playing in the semifinals this Thursday after the two day knockout round is completed. The Red Bulls then travel to the winner for leg one of the round played on Sunday November first.
