He will report to Florham Park today and officially sign the contract. The deal is reportedly worth $46 million, including $32 million in guaranteed money. Revis and the Jets had been negotiating for seven months, with the cornerback staying away from training camp and the preseason as a hold out. Now, with one week before the Jets open their season against the Baltimore Ravens, will Revis get on the field next Monday night? Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum said that decision will be left up to head coach Rex Ryan. You can fully expect Revis to be on the field for the opener. One of the best cover corners in the game, Revis is an integral part of Ryan’s aggressive defense. How quickly Revis gets into the groove could be the only factor holding him back from Monday’s game.
