College Rutgers Football Kickoff Celebration This Sunday The Rutgers University football team will be hosting its annual Kickoff Celebration this Sunday, August 8, 2010. by Staff Post August 3, 2010 The Rutgers University football team will be hosting its annual Kickoff Celebration this Sunday, August 8, 2010. The event which will run from 5:30 – 7:45pm EST is free and open to the public. Bring the whole family down and help the Rutgers football team get pumped up for this coming season. A Kid’s Zone will be open from 5:30 – 7pm, so bring all those young Rutgers fans. This area will be located between Athlete’s Glen and the North Plaza. Rutgers Stadium will open at 6:45pm for an autograph session. Posters will be handed out at the gate and on the field so fans can get autographs. Head Coach Greg Schiano and the Rutgers players will be available to sign. The Rutgers Cheer/Dance teams will be performing as well as the Rutgers Pep Band. Concessions will be available for purchase at the Pepsi Trailer in Athlete’s Glen. Hamburgers, hot dogs and more. This event is held to help the football program kick start training camp as they prepare for the 2010 season. Just a fun, family friendly event for all Rutgers football fans.
