www.sportsworldreport.com With the 22 players currently on the New York Knicks’ roster, it is apparent that not everyone would make it to the regular season. Sasha Vujacic, a veteran bench player for the team, has apparently taken the voluntary plunge. On Tuesday it was officially announced that he would be heading overseas to play for Fiat Torino in Italy. The 33-year-old has played many seasons in the NBA. The Machine has averaged 5.3 points per game over the course of his career. He enjoyed seven seasons with Los Angeles Lakers and also played on the Clippers and the Nets prior to suiting up in the blue and orange. His exit from the team shouldn’t be a huge shock for fans though. The organization, intent on focusing on its younger players, didn’t seem to make Vujavic a priority this offseason. This is not the Slovenian player’s first venture out of the NBA. From 2011 to 2013 he played for Turkish basketball club Anadolu Efes before returning to the League in 2014 to play for the Clippers. Between 2014 to 2015 he played for two other European basketball clubs, returning once again to join the Knicks. At the end of two seasons he leaves the NBA again. Despite his age, his will to keep playing the game is apparent. This may not be the last NBA fans have seen of Vujacic.
