Seattle Seahawks Stadium Renamed Lumen Field

Thurday night’s matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals was the first game played at Lumen Field.

The home of the Seattle Seahawks, previously known as CenturyLink Field, has been renamed Lumen Field, the announcement was made Thursday.

The name change is pending approval by the Washington State Public Stadium Authority.

CenturyLink announced the rebranding in September. The team’s stadium was named in 2011 and prior to that known as Qwest Field.

The naming rights deal extended in 2017 will run through the 2033 season. Thursday nights game against the Arizona Cardinals was the first game played at Lumen Field.
