Senators Veto Thunder

The Trenton Thunder took a rare loss at home Wednesday night as the Harrisburg Senators defeated them 6-1. Thunder starting pitcher was stuck with his first loss since April 10th, But the Thunder has the chance of taking the series with a win tonite at Waterfront Park.

A couple of Senator errors gave the Thunder their only run in the fifth inning scoring Jose Pirela and cutting the deficit in half 2-1. Unfortunately that would be as close as the Thunder would get as the Thunder bullpen gave up four runs in the late innings to help secure a Senators victory.

The Yankees top pitching prospect Dellin Betances only allowed a couple runs and only one run was earned in the first inning, Betances went five strong innings striking out eight Senators and allowing three hits.

Thunder pitcher Craig Heyer will get the call tonite in the rubber game of the three game set and the Senators will send Tanner Roark to the hill
