After a few weeks of playing sub-par baseball, the Baby Bombers are back on track as they have regained control of first place after two wins against Williamsport. The Yankees defeated a tough, Williamsport team 4-1 on Wednesday Night and 5-3 Thursday night. They have won three games in a row, and are one game up on Hudson Valley.

On Wednesday Night, a Yankees three run  rally in the 6th inning proved to be the deciding factor as they won 4-1. The Yankees best hitter this season, Drew Bridges knocked in one run to put the Yankees up 2-1. Timmy Robinson would follow up with a RBI Triple and later that inning Robinson would come home on a single by Kane Sweeney. Austin DeCarr would get the win in this game, pitching 5 strong innings, and allowing just one run. Brooks Kriske would save the game, his 4th of the season.
The Yankees continued to play good baseball on Thursday Night as their bats came alive early in this game. They scored 3 runs in the 2nd inning to go up 3-0. Angel Aguilar and Ben Ruta would both homer in the inning as well. Williamsport would add one run in the bottom of the 4th to cut the lead 3-1, however, the Yankees would answer in the top half of the next inning with two of their own runs.
Trailing 5-1 in the bottom of the 9th, Williamsport would make things interesting as they would score two runs. Gregori Rivero would lead off the inning with a double. After getting the next two outs, the Yankees were one out away from victory. Williamsport would hit back to back singles to trim the lead to 5-3. The Yankees would make a pitching change, bringing in Justin Kamplain. He would get Juan Luis to strike out to end the game. Frecier Perez would get the win as he went 6.1 innings allowing just one run. Justin Kamplain would get the save, his second of the year.
The Yankees look for the sweep against Williamsport tonight. Gametime is set for 7:05 PM
