Somerset Patriots Celebrate Holidays With Annual Toy Drive

Bridgewater, N.J. – The Somerset Patriots hosted its annual Holiday Toy Drive on Saturday, December 9th at TD Bank Ballpark. All of the toys collected were donated to Toys For Tots Central New Jersey.

All of the toys were collected from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Somerset Patriots Team Store. Despite the snowy weather, everyone helped the Patriots collect a record number of toys. Manager Emeritus Sparky Lyle was in attendance, where he met fans, signed autographs and took pictures. Fans who came out for the event also had exclusive access to significant Team Store discounts.

Additionally, Santa Claus made the trip all the way down from the North Pole just for the toy drive and to take pictures with the children. Fans also had the opportunity to take photos and get autographs from Sparkee the Mascot.

The Patriots hosted its Holiday Kickoff with Somerset Sluggers Kids Club members. Kids got to write their wish lists to Santa, create snowflakes and draw colorful holiday pictures. Light refreshments were made available to everyone in attendance.

The Somerset Patriots recently completed their 20th Season Anniversary in which they led the Atlantic League in attendance and made their 14th appearance in the playoffs. The Somerset Patriots will welcome their 7,000,000th fan in their 20th season at TD Bank Ballpark in 2018. The schedule for 2018 has officially been released.
