York, Pennsylvania – Three errors for the Somerset Patriots (20-24, 62-52) led to seven unearned runs and a 7-0 York Revolution (26-19, 54-61) win Tuesday night at Peoples Bank Park. York opened the scoring with a pair of unearned runs in the first inning. Two-out RBI base hits from Telvin Nash and Luis Cruz provided York the early 2-0 lead. The Revolution added four more unearned runs in the bottom of the fifth, all with two out. RBI singles from Alonzo Harris, Alexi Casilla and a two-run knock from Nash increased the York lead to 6-0. A seventh unearned run scored on an RBI double from Chase Simpson the very next half inning. The game entered a rain delay heading into the eighth inning and was eventually called due to inclement weather. Frank Gailey (10-9) earned the win, yielding just one hit over seven scoreless innings. Efrain Nieves (2-4) took the loss after he allowed six runs (all unearned) on nine hits over five innings. The Patriots continue their four-game series with the Revolution Wednesday night. Right-handed pitcher Will Oliver (5-4, 5.35 ERA) works against York righty Steve Janas (4-5, 4.69 ERA). First pitch Wednesday night at PeoplesBank Park is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. Tickets to the 2017 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford, which includes the team’s 20th Anniversary, are on sale now.
