Its time for the future to make an impact. The St. Lucie Mets, the High-A affiliate team of the Mets, begin their season with back-to-back home games. They play the Palm Beach Cardinals today and Friday, both at 6:30pm at First Data Field. 

With the return of minor league baseball comes tradition. According to the team’s press release, the St. Lucie Mets announced the return of Dollar Thursday’s. Fans of legal age can enjoy $1 Bud Light and $1 Budweiser along with $1 hot dogs, soda and popcorn. The team also announced the return of their solo cup promotion. Fans can purchase a special solo cup for $12 and bring it back every Thursday for $1 refills.

Those who attend the game Saturday are in for a treat. The St. Lucie Mets have a fireworks night planned. Those who bring two non-perishable food items will receive a free ticket. This promotion the team has benefits the Treasure Coast Food Bank. Baseball for a good cause, what more could you ask for?

As is tradition, Klutch’s Kids Crew members get into the game for free. However, a new feature is that admission to Klutch’s Kids Crew is free. Contact Kasey Blair at 772-871-2115 to sign up.
