Staten Island Yankees Getting The Season On Track

After having a struggling start to the 2018 season, is looks like the Staten Island Yankees  finally found the “it factor” after turning it around this week from a team that had not won two games in a row into the team who just swept the team that is positioned in first place of their division.

Matt Sauer (1-1) had a strong start as he had a 85 pitch, 6.1 inning outing in which he gave up five hits and allowed just one run. He struck out three and walked one.

Rodney made his professional debut and recorded the save, he struck out two batters and gave up a run on three hits in 2.2 innings of work.

The Staten Island Yankees are now 9-12 on the season as they play the second game as the Staten Island Pizza Rats when they take on their division rival Brooklyn Cyclones.
