Staten Island Yankees Snap Four Game Losing Streak

After defeating Hudson Valley Friday Night, the Yankees got back on the winning side after losing the previous four games. On Sunday, the Yankees continued to rebound as they defeated Auburn 7-0, to pull 1 game back from Hudson Valley for the division lead.

Kolton Mahoney pitched one of the greatest games we have seen this season, as he had a complete game shutout. He is now 4-2 on the year, to go along with a 1.82 era.

The Yankees got on the board in the first on a Timmy Robinson single that scored Chris Godinez. They would add three runs in the bottom of the 4th, on singles by Drew Bridges and Dom-Thompson Williams. Jerry Seitz also doubled, increasing the Yankees lead to 4-0. The Baby Bombers would add two more runs in the 6th and 7th en route, to a 7-0 victory.

With only a month and a half left in the season, the Yankees will look to string more wins together to take control of first place. They will face Auburn tonight at 7 P.M.
