Stephon Gilmore tests positive for COVID-19 following Monday’s game

The NFL may have a huge issue on their hands following additional positive coronavirus test.

Following Monday’s game, Stephon Gilmore Patriots’ CB test positive for coronavirus, according to his Twitter on Wednesday. This positive follows Monday’s game against the Chiefs. This game was postponed to Monday from Sunday after Cam Newton positive test.

In his twitter statement Gilmore states that he is asymptomatic (showing no symptoms).

If he test negative on Wednesday and Thursday he could return on Friday and play on Sunday against the Broncos. Cam Newton also will be able to play Sunday if he test negative on Wednesday and Thursday.

If a player test positive and has symptoms he will sit out for 10 days. If the player is asymptomatic, they will have to test negative back to back to play.

The NFL emphasizes the importance of social distancing and mask wearing during games. These protocols are in place but are not certain.
