The New York Knicks Have Traded Kristaps Porzingis

Knicks also send Lee and Hardaway to Dallas with Porzingis.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the New York Knicks have agreed to trade Kristaps Porzingis to the Dallas Mavericks.

The Knicks will also be sending Courtney Lee and Tim Hardaway Jr. to the Mavericks. In return, the Knicks will receive Dennis Smith Jr, Wesley Matthews Jr. and DeAndre Jordan. According to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, the Mavericks are working on acquiring a first-round pick to include in the deal. The Atlanta Hawks own the rights to the Mavericks 2019 first-round pick as part of the draft night trade to acquire Luka Doncic.

Jordan and Matthews both have expiring contracts. Porzingis can be a restricted free agent this summer.
