As previously reported, Johnson, Garcia and private equity investment firm RedBird Capital bought the XFL months after it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April.Johnson’s former boss, WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon founded the football league.It was confirmed by ESPN that the sale of the XFL to Johnson, Garcia and RedBird Capital was officially approved August 7 in a Delaware bankruptcy court.
