The Somerset Patriots Add LHP Ross Vance

Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots have announced the signing of left-handed pitcher Ross Vance.

Vance enters his first season with the Somerset Patriots and the Atlantic League. He spent the first two seasons of his professional career in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

The McKinney, Texas native appeared in 38 games for the Cardinals’ Single-A team in Palm Beach last season, where he recorded 64 strikeouts over 59.1 innings pitched.

In his rookie season in Johnson City in 2016, Vance was 3-0 with a 2.48 ERA and 54 strikeouts in 14 games.

He has a minor league career 5-6 record, a 4.09 ERA, and 118 strikeouts over 101.1 innings pitched in 54 games.

Vance has been activated for Monday night’s game against the Sugar Land Skeeters.
