Other Sports Thunder Lose Series. Reading Homers Sink Trenton by Staff Post June 10, 2011 The Trenton Thunder pitchers gave up three homers to the Reading Phillies late in last night’s game ruining a great performance by DellinBetances to lose the series finale 4-1. Betances hurled six shutout innings while striking out eight batters and in the third inning YadilMujica doubled scoring Deangelo Mack giving the Thunder a 1-0 lead that stood until the Trenton bullpen took over in the seventh inning . The Reading Phillies hit their three homers in the seventh and eighth innings to post the 4-1 lead and giving the loss to Pat Venditte . Trenton had no last inning magic last night as the R-Phils Justin DeFratus shut the door on the Thunder to get the save. Thunder Claps The Thunder return home for a six game homestand starting tonite against the Binghamton Mets game time 7:05 pm.
