Other Sports Thunder Walk Off with Series Set! by Staff Post May 6, 2011 The Trenton Thunder (13-14) overcame a 7-2 deficit with a walk off walk in the eleventh inning to defeat the Portland Seadogs 8-7 at Waterfront Park Thursday night. In the process The Thunder walked off with taking three out of the four game set from the Seadogs. With one out and the bases loaded Dan Brewer drew a walk from Seadogs reliever Kyle Fernandes for the Thunder to take their first lead of the game and the win. Ironically walks are what caused the Thunder to fall to a 7-2 deficit. The Seadogs led 7-5 going into the ninth inning but Austin Krum doubled to lead off the ninth. Corban Joseph singled to right field scoring Krum. With one out Cody Johnson lined a ball to deep center to score Joseph and tie the game. The Thunder take to the road for a three game set against Akron starting tonite at 7:05 Lefty Shaeffer Hall will be on the hill for the Thunder vs. Akron’s Lefty Kelvin De La Cruz. Tune-In to the game on 91.3 WTSR-FM at 6:50 pm. After the Akron three game set the Thunder come home to face Reading in a big showdown wih the Phillies team starting Monday May 9th .
