Dietrich Enns delivered seven shutout innings, running his scoreless streak to 23.2 innings to begin the season, to lead the Thunder to a 1-0 victory over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in front of an Education Day crowd of 4,609 at ARM & HAMMER Park on Wednesday afternoon.

With his seven inning effort, Enns has made the strongest possible statement for the Eastern League’s Player of the Month award. Enns finished April 3-0 with a 0.00 ERA. In 23.2 innings he’s allowed nine hits, 13 walks and struck out 25.

Enns dominating performance comes just one night after the Thunder threw a combined no-hitter and stretched the Thunder’s pitching staff scoreless streak to 18 innings.

In 25 starts in his young career, Enns is 14-9 with a 1.74 ERA allowing just 155 hits in 233 innings while tallying 251 strike outs.

The Thunder will begin a seven-game road trip in Erie on Friday night at Jerry Uht Park at 6:35pm. LHP Jordan Montgomery will start for the Thunder, RHP Cory Riordan will go for the Seawolves.
