MMA UFC 200: What to Expect by Staff Post May 24, 2016 The long awaited UFC 200 card is almost here, and we take a look into the promotion’s biggest and most anticipated event ever. Sites for betting online already have lines for all the scheduled bouts. The event has gone through some changes ever since it was announced. Conor McGregor was expected to have his rematch against Nate Diaz, as it was the planned main event of the evening, but after some public and bizarre contract disputes, the fighter was pulled from the card. In their place the expected fight between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier was set as the new Main Event. Jones versus Cormier shouldn’t be regarded as just a replacement fight. It is a very big main event and it will be one of the biggest fights of the year for UFC. Jones returned to the octagon recently after being stripped of the Light heavyweight title and is facing a former foe. Jones was one of the most celebrated and popular fighters in mixed martial arts, and his return is very big deal for fighting fans. His previous fight against Ovince Saint Preux, gathered a lot of action in sites for betting online. Daniel Cormier is not a pushover, and he is an amazing fighter as well. Jones versus Cormier almost happened for 197, but an injury prevented the latter to compete. Instead, Jones faced OSP in a fight that he won by unanimous decision. Also in the card we will see Meisha Tate’s first title defense after choking Holly Holm out. This time around she is facing Amanda Nunes in what promises to be a great fight. In its own right this bout has attracted a lot of players to sites for betting online as it is predicted to be a very even matchup. It goes without saying that everybody is expecting to see how this one will turnout. Also in the card Frankie Edgar and Jose Aldo are facing each other for the featherweight interim title, and possibly a fight against the aforementioned McGregor should he return to fight for the UFC. Aldo is on a must win scenario after being knocked out by McGregor’s first punch on their fight at UFC 194. This interim title fight will let either men get a shot of the Featherweight belt.
