UFC 208 Loses Heavyweight Bout; Moved to UFC Fight Night in Halifax

Why, why, why would you take a bout from UFC 208 of all cards?

The heavyweight bout between Travis Browne and Derrick Lewis originally set for UFC 208 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on February 11th has now been moved to the main event of UFC Fight Night in Halifax, Canada on February 19th.

The switch comes as a result of the original main event for Halifax, a heavyweight bout featuring Junior Dos Santos and Stefan Struve, getting scratched after Struve had to withdraw due to injury. While word of looking for an alternate opponent for JDS flooded social media, the UFC decided to replace it all together.

With Browne recently announcing his switch from Glendale Boxing Club to Blackhouse, I am looking forward to seeing what difference it makes in his game plan.

UFC 208 was a packed card at 14 fights. Will the UFC add a last minute replacement bout or did we just lose two big names?
