MMA UFC 210 to take place in Buffalo, NY by Daniel Yanofsky January 16, 2017 UFC 210 (UFC Twitter) When MMA became legalized in NY, then UFC majority owner Lorenzo Fertitta made a promise to take advantage of the opportunity. There was UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden, UFC Fight Night in Albany, and UFC 208 coming up at the Barclays Center on February 11th. It looks like we won’t have to wait that long for the tour of New York to continue. During last night’s broadcast of UFC Fight Night 103 on FS1, it was announced that Buffalo, NY will host UFC 210 on April 8th. The event will be at the KeyBank Center. httpss://twitter.com/ufc/status/820847114934620160 The last time the UFC held an event in Buffalo was about 20 years ago at UFC 7: The Brawl in Buffalo in 1995. The main event featured Ken Shamrock against Oleg Taktarov which ended in a draw. It was the last UFC held in the state of New York. Oh how the times have changed. While no fights have been announced yet, we should be expecting some news over the next few weeks. It will be interesting to see what fighters will make the trek to the Arctic tundra, aka Buffalo . There may be a chance that Stipe Miocic or Joanna Jędrzejczyk will be a part of the card. That may be the case in order to get huge numbers for the event. Lorenzo Fertitta’s promise is becoming a reality. What a time to be a MMA fan. Post Views: 1,399 The following two tabs change content below.BioLatest Posts Daniel Yanofsky Baseball Editor, Misc.
