UFC 244: The Rock to present the BMF Belt to the winner of Diaz-Masvidal

“The People’s Champ” is interested in watching who will be the new BMF Champion on November 2nd at UFC 244. He’ll get his chance, and then some.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, UFC President Dana White talked about the upcoming bout between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal inside Madison Square Garden. The winner of that bout will receive a brand new belt, which according to Dana, has a pretty good price attached to it.

“That’s a good question,” said White when asked about the price of the belt. “I think it’s gonna be like, I think the belt’s like 50 grand.”

According to MMA Mania, the old belts that are currently being fizzled out are reportedly worth $300,000. The meaning of the BMF Belt isn’t so much a prestigious one, so the price seems fair. Considering the circumstances and the fighters involved, the belt price doesn’t matter as long as their purse is heavily compensated.

That wasn’t the only thing that was discussed. Dana confirmed that The Rock will be presenting the winner of the Diaz-Masvidal bout with the belt.

“He’s gonna [do it],” White said. “He’s taking my job. Listen, if The Rock wants to do it, The Rock gets what The Rock wants.”

Masvidal and The Rock have been going back and forth on Twitter regarding UFC 244, and the former WWE Champion was excited about a potential opportunity. Just like the matchup, Dana seemingly saw that a lot of money could be added with The Rock inside The World’s Most Famous Arena.

A clash between two worlds can only happen when the right figures are involved. Here’s hoping we get a classic promo from the wrestler turned movie star. Maybe, just maybe, Dana can convince him to enter the octagon.

UFC 244 tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at the MSG box office or at Ticketmaster.com.
