Veterans and Hall of Famers highlight the broadcast team and announcers for MMAPL

With the promotion kicking off in September, the MMA Pro League is looking to start things off with a bang. For the viewers at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ, it is all about the matches taking place. For the viewers watching on FloSports, the commentary team can help make or break its broadcast. Luckily, the latter has seemingly been taken care of.

It was announced that the commentary team for the MMAPL event in September will be UFC Hall of Famer Pat Miletich and veteran commentator T.J. De Santis. The ring announcing will be done by Jazz Securo. No word on who will handle backstage interviews.

MMA Pro League President Mark Taffet had the following to say about the latest additions to the MMAPL family:

“I am thrilled with the depth and breadth of experience and the great passion which Pat Miletich, T.J. De Santis and Jazz Securo will bring to MMA Pro League’s inaugural telecast on September 15 from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City. Our viewers will be informed, engaged and entertained at the highest level by this great group of broadcasters.”

To those new to the MMA world, you probably want to know more about the new voices of the MMPL, right?

Pat Miletich (29-7-2) is best known for being the first man to hold the UFC Welterweight Title. He has also fought some of the best to ever put on a pair of gloves, including Renzo Gracie and Dan Severn. His experience in broadcasting goes back to 2009, when he started with Strikeforce. Recently, he has produced content for AXS TV Fights. He also founded Miletich Fighting Systems, a training organization that has molded some of the best to ever step inside an octagon, like Matt Hughes and Robbie Lawler. With the knowledge he has in an octagon and in a tournament-styled event, the Hall of Famer appears to be the perfect fit for the job.

T.J. De Santis is one of the most knowledgable members of the MMA community. His resume speaks for itself. De Santis has provided commentary for organizations like Invicta FC, the Eddie Bravo Invitational and Roy Jones Jr.’s Island Fights. He also produces various shows/podcasts for FOX Sports and SI.com. De Santis providing play-by-play may be the perfect match to Miletich’s veteran presence.

Jazz Securo has announced fights for over 20 years, and not just in MMA. While he has provided his voice for the PFL on NBCSN and Championship Fighting Alliance and Fight Time Promotions on AXS and CBS, he has also lended his voice to Ring of Honor. Like most ring announcers, he has appeared in several films, most notably Foxcatcher and Kickboxer: Retaliation.

Tickets for the inaugural MMA Pro League team event on September 15 are available now at Ticketmaster.com.
