Soccer Vieira Leaves New York. The Blues Rely on Guardiola’s Philosophy by Stefano Bentivogli June 12, 2018 The day of greetings arrived at New York City FC. Patrick Vieira leaves the City and returns to Europe. The french coach will train Nice. The transfer of the french was in the air for some time and, despite the denials of Vieira himself, Monday came the official announcement with Nice who presented Vieira as the next coach. After 90 games on the City bench, Vieira feels ready to train in Europe. It will start from Nice and then try to establish himself in some great clubs. We knew that sooner or later this would happen and even the fans are not surprised by Vieira’s farewell. Some welcomed him as good news for him and for the team, while others did not, thinking that the City lost a big piece. The fact is that now Vieira has signed for Nice and that in his place on the bench in New York there will be Domenec Torrent. Guardiola’s second at Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City was promoted to lead the Blues. A non-resonant name, but with a highly respected curriculum. As a second of Guardiola, Torrent has virtually won everything in Spain, Germany and England. NYCFC therefore finds a coach with proven experience, not under the light of the spotlight but with a great job that over the course of time has brought excellent results. The leadership and fans of New York City hope Torrent can continue to win even without Pep Guardiola by his side. But the sensations are good, with New York ready to make the big leap in quality not only with the results but also with the way you play.
