Week 17 NFL Betting Predictions

As we all welcome the end of 2020, we have reached the final week of the NFL schedule. Even in a year as unpredictable as this one, it’s safe to say that the regular season has not disappointed, and the drama isn’t over yet.

For some teams, an opportunity to reach the postseason is coming down to the very last game. And for the first time all season, every single game will be played on Sunday, which only means there should be a ton of excitement during Week 17.

With all the games kicking off on the same day, betting sites in New Jersey and several other states will be taking in even more action than normal. The good news for all of us is that these sites offer tons of markets and bet types to choose from, ensuring all bettors can find a wager they’re comfortable with.

Below, we’re getting you ready for the action by previewing two of the most important games of the upcoming week, which both happen to be made up of NFC East teams, and also providing a parlay with some alternate lines for those who want to combine multiple games into one bet.

Cowboys vs. Giants Predictions | Week 17 NFL Picks

The winner of this early game wins the NFC East if Philly beats Washington at night, so both of these teams will be leaving everything on the line in Week 17. With the Cowboys favored by 1.5 points, how will the drama unfold?

The Giants have had a better overall season than Dallas, but there are two things converging in this matchup. The first is the fact that the Cowboys are playing as well on both sides of the ball as they have all season during this three-game winning streak. The second is that the Big Blue offense isn’t the same with Daniel Jones banged up and his ability to use his legs compromised to some degree.

Dallas will be able to put up some points, something the Giants have struggled to do since their Week 11 bye. These two teams just appear to be going in opposite directions and the Cowboys could be ready to steal this win on the road before the pressure falls on the WFT.

Pick: Dallas Cowboys -1.5 (-112)

WFT vs. Eagles Picks | Week 17 SNF Predictions

Somebody has to win the NFC East, and that team could be the Washington Football Team if they can just overcome the Eagles on Sunday Night Football. Currently, the WFT is favored by 2.5 points but will they cover the number and advance to the playoffs?

With Alex Smith under center, there is reason to feel confident that the WFT can get the job done against the already-eliminated Eagles. But with the said, this team had a chance to take care of business last week and couldn’t do it.

There’s some pressure facing the WFT and Eagles coach Doug Pederson is going to throw every weird formation and trick play in the book at Washington’s stout defense. Philadelphia would love nothing more at this stage than to ruin a rival’s season and I think that’s exactly what happens.

Pick: Philadelphia Eagles ML (+120)

Week 17 NFL Alternate Lines Parlay (+148 at DraftKings)

Beyond single-game wagers, one of the most popular bet types out there is parlays. These wagers allow bettors to combine multiple sides into the same wager in exchange for a larger payout. And if you choose, you can buy or sell points using alternate lines to customize any bet to your liking.

We’ve built a Week 17 bet featuring three teams using alternate lines from DraftKings that comes out to +303 odds. This payout may be more modest than what many think of when they imagine parlays, but using alternate lines is one way to build a safer wager and still get multiple sides into the same bet.

Tennessee Titans -6 (-150): The Titans need a victory to seal the AFC South title, so they will be going all-out against the lowly Texans. Tennessee could get in with a Colts loss too but since they are playing the Jaguars, that seems unlikely to happen.

This isn’t Lambeau Field and there won’t be any snow on the ground, so Tennessee’s offense should look a bit more like what we’ve seen most of the year. We bought this from -7.5 down to -6 to make things a bit more manageable and based on everything we know about these two teams, a Titans win by a touchdown should come to fruition.

Steelers-Browns Under 46.5 (-200): The Steelers have cemented their spot in the postseason and that is why Ben Roethlisberger isn’t playing in this game. With Mason Rudolph under center and little to play for, Pittsburgh’s offense should look a bit more stagnant.

The Browns need a win, but COVID-19 issues have ravaged the locker room and caused a closure of the facility for a second week in a row. Seeing how the same issues impacted Cleveland last week, it’s hard to expect an explosive offensive performance from this team.

The total is down at 42 but we’ve taken a few extra points in order to cross a few key numbers and make the play a bit safer.

Green Bay Packers -3 (-165): Both of these teams have something to play for, which makes this rivalry game even better in Week 17. Chicago is trying to clinch a playoff berth while the Packers can secure the NFC No. 1 seed throughout the playoffs.

These two met just a few weeks back with Green Bay winning by a 41-25 score, and something similar could be in store this week. The Packers’ offense has been unstoppable and its defense has done more than enough to win games, especially in the past month. The Bears’ offense with Trubisky back under center deserves credit, but it may be asked to do just a bit too much to overcome the best team in the NFC at the moment.
