Football Who Will Win Super Bowl LIII? Who will take home all the glory and the Lombardi Trophy? Team Double G predicts the outcome of Super Bowl LIII by Nicholas Durst February 1, 2019 Super Bowl LIII is this Sunday, who will come out victorious, the New England Patriots or the Los Angeles Rams? DoubleGSports.com’s football experts have given their predictions as to what will happen this Sunday during Super Bowl LII between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams. Here is what they had to say: Nick Durst’s Predictions: Super Bowl Champion: New England Patriots Final Score: New England Patriots 38 – Los Angeles Rams 31 MVP: Tom Brady How will it happen? Rob Gronkowski and Chris Hogan will each have two touchdown receptions and the Patriots will also score a rushing touchdown. Ultimately, it will come down to Tom Brady driving the Patriots downfield to win the game right after the Rams tied it late in the 4th quarter. Bill Belichick and Tom Brady will once again show they are the greatest of all time. This will likely be Gronkowski’s last game and the future first ballot Hall of Famer will prove he is the best tight end to ever play the game. Tom Brady (12) and Chris Hogan (15) (Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports) Jackie Daly’s Predictions: Super Bowl Champion: Los Angeles Rams Final Score: Los Angeles Rams 31 – New England Patriots 28 MVP: Jared Goff How will it happen? First of all, we all know Bill Belichick is going to study every single possible play the Rams are potentially going to make, offensive and defensive. Here’s the thing, the Rams run a tight and intricate offense, where the crisscross routes will make it hard for certain coverage. I think young McVay is ready to take it to the next level in this game. The other thing… Goff is a very calm and reserved guy, EXACTLY like the only two MVP QB’s that beat Brady in a SB previously – Eli Manning and Nick Foles. There’s so many interesting storylines but I think the Rams offense can outsmart the Pats defense ever so slightly. Chris Passarelli’s Predictions: Super Bowl Champion: Los Angeles Rams Final Score: Los Angeles Rams 34 – New England Patriots 27 MVP: CJ Andersen How Will It Happen? A steady mix of ground and pound and deception will give Sean McVay the ultimate prize of the Lombardi Trophy at the young age of 32. Todd Gurley and CJ Andersen will both get at least 15 carries each and will wear down the defense of the Patriots. Once that happens, Jared Goff will be able to sling the rock to Brandin Cooks and get large chunks of yardage. On the defensive side, the one-man wrecking crew of Aaron Donald will be able to pressure Tom Brady up the middle. Brady doesn’t perform well when he’s constantly under pressure and the Rams defensive line and Wade Phillips’ exotic schemes will confuse the Pats, getting them off their game. It will be another notch in the illustrious career of Wade Phillips. Make no mistake about it, this game is going to be all offense. Both defenses have had trouble stopping the opposition this season. Tom Brady and the Patriots will use their “underdog” mantra as extra motivation in this game, and it will show. The Rams will tie the game with a little under a minute to go. That is the equivalent of five minutes for Brady. He will hit precision strikes to Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski to get them in prime field goal range. Stephen Gostkowski nails the game-winning kick to give the Patriots their sixth Lombardi Trophy. Andrew Larkin’s Predictions: Super Bowl Champion: New England Patriots Final Score: New England Patriots 35 – 27 Los Angeles Rams MVP: Tom Brady How will it happen? New England Patriots win, beating the Rams by 11. The MVP will be Tom Brady, as he continues his dynasty and establishment as the GOAT. The Patriots are no stranger to this scene, and the Rams have something else coming for them if they think this will be a free ring. The Patriots showed why they are the most dominant in the postseason, blowing out the Chargers and clutching a win over the Chiefs in overtime in the AFC Championship. Brady will connect with Gronk or Edelman for a touchdown, along with having Sony Michel and James White run the ball down the defense of the Rams’ throat. Jared Goff and Todd Gurley will put up a fight, but in the end, the Patriots will prevail and get their sixth ring. (Photo by Sean M. While the Rams are younger, never doubt the experience of the Patriots. It will be a big running game for both teams, as Sony Michel and Todd Gurley will each rush for a touchdown (Gurley will have two). In the end, Tom Brady will have a second wind and throw calculating passes to Julian Edelman, Gronk and James White. Defense will play a big part of the game, as New England will sack Goff six times en route to another Super Bowl win, avenging their loss from last season.
