Why you should be “ALL IN”

Here are some last-minute reasons to tune into the biggest event in pro wrestling today

Folks, tonight is the night. “Pro Wrestling’s Woodstock”, “All In, will be taking place at the Sears Centre in Chicago. Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks have worked hard to create the best wrestling event possible for passionate fans around the world. The buzz for the event is real, enough for it to be sold out in less than 30 minutes.

Some may be asking why they should buy the event on the FITE.TV app or through their Honor Club subscription. Should we commit to an event that isn’t like anything we are used to? While fans have the opportunity to do what they want, this article may try and convince you to open your mind and live in the best time to be a pro wrestling fan. In the end, it is up to you, but being “All In” could be something you may not regret.

Here is why you should be “All In”:

The Power of Unpredictability

In today’s day and age of wrestling, booking decisions can be set in stone for quite some time. The result of that can be an obvious outcome when it comes to matches. WWE sometimes falls into that trope. At “All In, you can throw that book out the window.

Can junior heavyweight Marty Scurll defeat the one of the greatest IWGP Heavyweight Champion’s of all time in Kazuchika Okada? Can female wrestler Jordynne Grace or someone unexpected win the Over-Budget Battle Royale, earning the right to face ROH Champion Jay Lethal for the title? Will Neville, CM Punk or anyone you wouldn’t expect appear? Where does Flip Gordon factor in any of this? The best thing about these questions is that there is no definitive answer. Sometimes, it is better off not knowing and going with the flow.

Showcase of the Future

MJF, Tessa Blanchard, Jordynne Grace, Ethan Page, Joey Janela, Hangman Page. Each of these young guns have become stars in some way. What better way to elevate their careers than by showcasing them to the world? “All In” provides them with a platform to show why they are the hottest acts on the independent scene.

Through various YouTube channels, we see how valuable each member of the “All In” crew truly are. From Being the Elite to Cody’s All Us series, everyone is there for a reason. This is their opportunity to show 10,000+ people plus those watching at home why they tuned in. It is the ultimate audition for their future.

Dream v. Reality

First things first: I highly recommend you view the NWA’s Ten Pounds of Gold mini-series. The organization has produced some of the best original content out there, especially leading up to the NWA Worlds Title match.

One of the key matches that was first put together when announcingAll In” was Cody Rhodes v. Nick Aldis for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. This match is more important than you could ever know.

Since its inception, the NWA has prided itself on tradition and class. Over the last 20 years, the idea of the NWA and its titles have not been treated so kindly. Over the past two years, however, something has changed. The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship is being presented in a manner it has not been in for quite some time. The match between Cody and Nick has become one of the most talked-about bouts in quite some time, and it is all thanks to the fans, Billy Corgan and other factors.

Cody Rhodes is building what his dad Dusty made and giving it the platform it deserves. Whether he wins or not, or whether the match is the main event or not doesn’t matter, it is about creating a moment. Aldis, once Impact Wrestling’s chosen one, has been a key part in reviving a once heralded brand. Together, the two have created a story worth caring for.

Whether you are new to wrestling, or you only like one style, “All In” is a movement that is badly needed in the sport of pro wrestling. What happens after tonight is unknown, and that is something to be OK with. That is the beauty of a sport like this.
