Football WINNER$ – NFL WEEK 15 by Jason Cordner December 16, 2016 What a performance by Bryce Petty. I thought for sure the Jets were getting blown out after that pick on the first play of the game. Gotta give credit to the kid for battling back. The Giants defense might be the best unit in the NFL and as bad as their offense played, that’s a defense that can singlehandedly win games come playoff time. Kudos. As for the Bucs, watch out for them down the stretch, as we said last week, Jameis Winston is figuring things out and Mike Evans might be the best WR in the league. Tampa Bay is peaking at the right time. Here are the numbers…. Week 14 Recap: 49ers -2.5 (Loss) Cowboys -3 (Loss) Bucs -1 (Win) Week 14 Record: 1-2 2016 Season Record: 10-13 Week 15 NFL WINNER$: DOLPHINS -2.5 at Jets I will continue to fade this Jets team for the remainder of the season, especially against playoff caliber opponents. Matt Moore fills in for the injured Ryan Tannehill this week in a game the Dolphins need to have if they want to keep their AFC wild card playoff hopes alive. The fish win on a soggy Saturday at Met Life. GIANTS -3 vs. Lions I would recommend buying the hook here if the line is 3.5, which is it in a lot of spots. This is more of a Lions fade then a Giants pick. I don’t trust Matt Stafford playing with a dislocated throwing-finger to do much against a hungry Giants D still alive for a division title. Plus, this is the first outdoor game for the Lions since Week 4 at Chicago. RAVENS -6 vs. Eagles Since John Harbaugh took over as head coach of the Ravens in 2008, a rookie QB has not won a game in Baltimore, ever. The exact numbers are 0-7 with a 3-9 TD/INT ratio. That doesn’t bode well for Carson Wentz and an fading Eagles team with nothing to play for. This game could be a mirror image of what happened to the Dolphins in Baltimore 2 weeks ago. Ravens win big. Suicide Pick of the Week: FALCONS over 49ers Seattle over St. Louis was another acceptable pick from Thursday night. It’s actually a great pick for suicide teams. Buffalo over Cleveland and Houston over Jacksonville should do the trick also.
