Women in Sports Interview Series: It’s a sure bet with Philadelphia native, Erin Kate Dolan (VIDEO)


Erin Kate Dolan is a young journalist who has already reached a list of achievements. In college, Erin was the first woman to win the Harry Kalas Award which is a college scholarship awarded by the Philadelphia Broadcasters Foundation to aspiring sports broadcasting professionals.

When asked whats it’s like being a women in sports, she explained, “I think it has its challenges, but at the same time it can be really rewarding, I think being a women in sports you’re paving the way for a new generation and just making it a little bit easier for those wanting to enter in the industry.”

Erin grew up playing sports when she was younger. In grade school, she played soccer, lacrosse and also participated in cross country and track and field. Track and field was her main passion.

Erin Kate Dolan is a native of Philadelphia who graduated from Penn State and is currently the face of PointsBet, America’s fastest-growing online bookmaker.

What’s it like for Erin at work? Erin provides previews and recaps national and international sporting events, discussing gambling odds and bad beats.

While Erin does not see herself as an influencer, she has paved the way for women in different eras that want to indulge in their passion as an athlete, journalist, and reporter on an everyday basis while also gaining wisdom.
