WWE Superstar Bayley Tops “PWI” Women’s 100 List

This year, Pro Wrestling Illustrated has chosen WWE’s very own Bayley (Pamela Rose Martinez), for the number one spot on their annual PWI Women’s 100 list.

PWI made the announcement on Twitter Thursday morning, unveiling the cover of their January 2021 issue featuring Martinez and her current nemesis Sasha Banks. Fellow WWE Superstars Becky Lynch (2), Asuka (3) and Charlotte (4) were placed in the top five spots of the PWI Women’s 100 list.

Martinez tweeted about the exciting news of her number one ranking, writing, “Now if only I got the cover all to myself!!!!!!!!!!! The Bayley-bration, 500 days of Bayley, the year of Bayley, it just keeps getting better.”

PWI noted the difficulty of compiling their latest Women’s 100 rankings in a separate tweet. “This was, bar none, our most competitive Women’s 100 list to date. Congrats to all the wrestlers who, through their talent and hard work, made it onto this year’s list!”

Various women wrestlers, such as All Elite Wrestling’s Nyla Rose (16), Impact Wrestling’s Susie (44), a number of other WWE wrestlers including Rhea Ripley (11), Shayna Baszler (13), Bianca Belair (23) and Alexa Bliss (27) and many other known names and up-and-comers within the international wrestling community are also recognized by PWI.

You can the latest PWI Women’s 100 list in its entirety if you purchase a digital copy of PWI’s January 2021 issue here. The print edition of the issue hits newsstands on November 10.
