Heather Hardy (Credit- MSN – Gregory Payan / AP) When Heather Hardy made her MMA debut at Bellator 180, many were wondering when they would see the boxer inside the octagon again. It looks like they won’t have to wait long. Hardy announced on Ariel Helwani’s The MMA Hour that she will be competing at Bellator 185. The event will be on October 20th at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. It will be another close-to-home encounter for the Brooklyn-native. After going 20-0 in boxing, Hardy decided to give MMA a try. After an impressive start right out of the gate, she defeated Alice Yauger in the third round via TKO at Madison Square Garden. The crowd erupted, knowing a local fighter was making history. The main event for Bellator 185 will feature Gegard Mousasi making his Bellator debut against Alexander Shlemenko. King Mo will also face Liam McGeary. While these fighters are the “main attraction”, they may not steal the show. Heather Hardy on the other hand can do that just by entering a room. While she does not have an opponent yet, Bellator President Scott Coker won’t disappoint fans. With a growing roster, there are plenty of challengers for Hardy to face off against. Will Hardy go through the sophomore slump during her next fight? She will look to prove any doubters wrong on October 20th.
