The Future Is Fitness For Apple

Fitness+ was launched in December 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted gyms and fitness areas.

Apple was founded in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne. The iconic organization is a technology company, most popular for their iPhones, iPads, and Mac computers.

Their technology is advancing every year, and the company has been very successful. Although the company is doing well with their smartphones, the future is fitness for them. The CEO of Apple is a man named Tim Cook and his goal is to get Apple users moving using the new Fitness+.

Fitness+ by Apple brings fitness to users homes

Fitness+ is a new fitness app that was made for the Apple watch. Users are able to get various workouts from expert trainers and track their progress on their watch. Apple Watch was launched in 2015 and this allowed users to be able to track their heart rates while being splash resistant. However, the new Apple Watch Series 6 has advanced features that can track your blood oxygen, and is water-resistant. The watch can also connect to the Fitness+ app. There are several different workouts to choose from like; cycling, core strength, rowing, dance, yoga, walk/run, and many more.

While working out, users can see their heart rate and how many calories they burn. The stats of their workout will be displayed on the screen to keep them motivated. The app’s purpose is to be an immersive experience and users will be able to follow along with the trainer.

Fitness+ was launched in December 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted gyms and fitness areas. Since the gyms were shut down, people weren’t able to work out, but Fitness+ allows users to bring their workouts into the comfort of their homes.

Cook believes fitness is an essential part of life. According to Outside, “We all know intuitively, and now with research, that physical activity is a key part of longevity and quality of life.” He mentions that his workouts are a big part of his daily routine, and he doesn’t want to be bothered during this time. Cook wants Apple to be remembered as a fitness and wellness company and no longer just a technology one.
