BIZ Henrik Lundqvist Foundation Searching for Young Ambassadors Calling all 12-18 year olds in the Tri-state area! by Jackie Daly June 12, 2015 (Photo: Dominic Cappelletti – www.hlundqvistfoundation.com/) Calling all 12-18 year olds in the Tri-state area (especially passionate New York Rangers fans)! The King of New York, Henrik Lundqvist of course, is looking for you! The Henrik Lundqvist Foundation (HLF) has launched a young ambassador program (HLFYA). HLF believes young people can make a difference in today’s world. The program is designed to provide the platform in which the selected individuals can make that happen. From Lundqvist himself, “Young people have an amazing energy and passion for helping others that I wanted to tap into. The HLF Young Ambassadors program will give kids a platform to support worthy children’s health and education organizations and empower them to become leaders in giving back in their own communities.” The HLF, founded in 2014 by Lundqvist and his wife Therese, strives to “make a difference in the lives of children and their families throughout the world, in the areas of health and education.” Of course this is possible with the generous help of a few worldwide community partners; NY Presbyterian Children’s Hospital, Food Bank for NYC, Ronald McDonald Barnfond, and Together for Better. The Foundation also supports the Garden of Dreams Foundation, a non-profit that works with all aspects of the Madison Square Garden Company. Interested go-getters ages 12-18, that live in NY, NJ, or CT, can easily apply by visiting https://www.hlundqvistfoundation.com/youngambassadors/ and filling out the 2-step application, coupling the submitted answers with a letter of recommendation. All guidelines and requirements are listed on the Ambassador home page in greater details. Ambassadors will serve for one academic year (September 2015-May 2016) and must fulfill three requirements: Minimum 15 hours community service Complete an independent project that supports HLF’s mission Attend one HLF event in NYC If this sounds like you, please apply by the June 30, 2015 deadline! This is an amazing opportunity to work alongside the incredible HLF, make a difference in the world, while gaining valuable, hands-on experience.
